Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms apply to the 3DPrintCAD website at 3dprintcad.com - the app, the guides and the other pages (together, "3DPrintCAD"). By using 3DPrintCAD you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. The service
- 3DPrintCAD is a 3D design tool for 3D printing that runs in your web browser. There is no account to create and nothing to install.
- The editor is made for computers with a mouse. On phones and tablets some features may not work.
- All modelling, generating and file processing happens on your own device. 3DPrintCAD does not receive your designs or the files you open.
2. Your designs and files
- You own what you make. The models you design and export are yours to use, print, share and sell, subject to the rights of others in anything you put into them.
- You are responsible for what you import. Only open files, pictures, fonts and logos that you have the right to use - for example, do not turn someone else's trademark or copyrighted picture into a product without permission.
- Your projects are stored in your browser, on your computer, not on our servers. Clearing your browser data, using a private window or changing browser or computer can remove them, and we cannot recover them. Use Back up all in the projects window to save a backup file regularly.
3. Shared files
You can export and share files such as puzzle knobs (.knob) and hinges (.hinge). 3DPrintCAD checks these files and reads them as data only, but you share and open them at your own risk. Only share files you have the right to share.
4. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- use 3DPrintCAD to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights;
- attack, overload or try to disrupt the website or its server, for example with automated mass requests;
- copy the website or present it as your own, or use the 3DPrintCAD name and logo in a way that suggests we endorse you;
- design or print weapons, weapon parts or anything else that is illegal where you live.
5. 3D printing and safety
- Check every model before you print it. 3DPrintCAD helps with sizes, overhangs, supports and fits, but printers, materials and settings differ. Results depend on your printer and slicer.
- Not for critical uses. Models are not certified for load-bearing, medical, food-contact, electrical, child-safety or other safety-critical uses. If you use a part for such a purpose, you do so at your own risk and must test it yourself.
- Children. 3D printers get hot and have moving parts, and small printed parts can be a choking hazard. Children should use 3DPrintCAD and a 3D printer with an adult.
- Generated content. Test QR codes, NFC pockets, gears, hinges, puzzles and other generated models before relying on them - for example, scan a printed QR code with several phones.
6. Intellectual property
- The 3DPrintCAD website, app, name, logo, guides, pictures and videos belong to 3DPrintCAD and its creator, DakovDev. You may link to them and share them with credit, but not copy or republish them as your own.
7. Privacy
- There are no accounts, no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
- Your projects, settings, uploaded fonts and pictures are stored only in your browser on your own device.
- Like every website, our web server keeps standard access logs (such as IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser type). We use them only to run and protect the website and to count visits, and we do not sell or share them.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep 3DPrintCAD available and improving, but we may change, add or remove features, or pause or end the service, at any time and without notice. Because your projects are stored in your browser, keep backups of anything important.
9. No warranty
3DPrintCAD is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and that it will work without errors or interruptions. You use it, and anything you make with it, at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 3DPrintCAD and its creator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or of models made with it - including lost or damaged designs or data, failed prints, wasted material, damage to printers or property, and injury. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using 3DPrintCAD after a change, you accept the updated terms.
